Bakuriani is beautiful both in winter and summer. The village of Bakuriani is the oldest ski resort in Georgia, located in the central part of the country, on the territory of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range. Bakuriani is part of the Borjomi municipality (administrative center - the city of Borjomi). Relaxation in Bakuriani is primarily a break from the hustle and bustle. The most effective remedy is contemplation of the silent mountains, and skiing can be considered only one way to distract from the routine.
The air here is mountainous, fresh, and permeated with the aroma of coniferous forests. It is recommended for anemia and respiratory diseases. In addition to a wide selection of ski slopes, the resort is also known for its mineral springs and Botanical Garden.
Tabatskuri Lake is located in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, on the border of the Borjomi and Akhalkalaki municipalities, 1,991 meters above sea level. Its surface area is 14.2 km², the maximum depth is 40.2 meters, and the average depth is 15.5 meters. The structural basin of the lake is caused by streams of lava and is replenished by underground, snow, and rain waters. The lake freezes over in winter. The lake is surrounded by the Ktsia-Tabatskuri Nature Reserve. The water is fresh and rich in fish, and crabs can also be found. Around the lake, there are two villages: Tabatskuri and Moliti. The village of Tabatskuri is built on a peninsula that partially intrudes into the lake, making this place even more interesting and attractive. The blue lake, vast spaces, and mountains create an impressive view.
